Leading the funding round is Taronga Ventures, a global investor specialising in real asset sectors like infrastructure and real estate. Taronga’s investment brings Enteligent’s total funding to US$19 million since 2021, following previous backing from NOVA, an affiliate of Saint-Gobain, a global building materials giant.

Jonathan Hannam, Managing Partner at Taronga Ventures, emphasised Enteligent’s pivotal role in enhancing solar energy efficiency.

“Enteligent's technology sets a new standard in maximising solar energy efficiency.

“Its holistic approach to solar power optimisation offers practical solutions that align with the needs of global real asset owners and operators. Together, we can make substantial progress in advancing decarbonisation efforts for real assets.”

Enteligent's advancements in solar power earned it a place in Taronga Ventures’ RealTechX ESG Impact programme in 2023, alongside major industry players such as APG, CapitaLand and CBRE. This programme helped Enteligent sharpen its sustainability strategy and strengthen its position in the real asset market.

Revolutionising energy consumption

Enteligent’s mission is to transform energy use by harnessing solar power to drive the shift towards electrification.

Sean Burke, CEO and co-founder of Enteligent, underscored the importance of this new investment.

He said: “Our mission is to drive a paradigm shift in energy consumption habits by leveraging abundant solar power and our innovative technology to support society's transition to electrification.

“Having an industry leader like Taronga Ventures as our lead investor is a strong endorsement of our technology.”

A key product in this transition is Enteligent’s 25kW DC-to-DC fleet charging platform, the first of its kind, which is currently being delivered to a major logistics firm for its electrified delivery fleet.

Additionally, Enteligent is pre-selling its solar-powered TLCEV T1 EVSE, a charger designed for daytime charging directly from on-site solar generation. This DC-coupled charger provides up to 12.5 kW of fast charging — double the speed of many traditional AC Level 2 chargers — and reduces energy losses from AC-to-DC conversions by up to 20%.

Enhancing solar efficiency with NMax technology

Beyond EV charging, Enteligent’s NMax PV module power optimisers are designed to maximise solar panel output and ensure rapid shutdown safety. These optimisers stand out as the only module-level power electronic (MLPE) solution that offers both rapid shutdown and panel-level performance data via power line communication (PLC). In rooftop solar installations, they can increase electricity yields by an average of 10%.

Enteligent’s NMax optimisers provide solar inverter suppliers with a competitive edge, qualifying for the Inflation Reduction Act's Manufacturing Tax Credit (45X MPTC). These financial incentives are crucial for companies looking to integrate advanced solar solutions while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

Driving the future of solar-powered electrification

With robust financial backing and industry recognition, Enteligent is poised to lead the next wave of solar-powered EV charging solutions. As demand for renewable energy and sustainable transport continues to rise, Enteligent’s innovative products will be key in reshaping energy consumption patterns and accelerating the global shift towards a more sustainable future.
