Job To Apatura – Chief Strategy Officer
With more than 20 years of experience, David Wildash will optimise Apatura’s grid connection portfolio and drive market expansion strategies as its Chief Strategy Officer.
Following seven years at National Grid ESO, his expertise will help align the company’s growth with the UK’s net-zero goals.
“By collaborating across the renewables value chain — including developers, network owners, the system operator, and industry regulator — we can transform the UK’s existing energy infrastructure and fast track progress towards cleaner energy and achieving net zero,” David says. “But the clock is ticking and we must act swiftly.”
In his position at Apatura, David will be responsible for optimising the company’s grid connection portfolio to drive revenue and value growth. He will also lead market expansion strategies, identify new opportunities and develop partnerships within the renewable energy sector.
On top of this, David will work closely with Apatura’s leadership team to shape the company’s long-term strategy, aligning it with the goal of accelerating the UK's transition to net zero.
Giles Hanglin, CEO at Apatura, adds: “David’s appointment comes at a crucial time for Apatura and the UK energy industry. His in-depth knowledge and experience strengthens our position as a trusted partner for renewable investors and developers, as we expand our leadership in the fast-growing BESS and data centre market.”
