An energy transformation leader with more than 30 years of experience, Matt Johnson brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position. His appointment comes at a pivotal time for the energy sector, which is facing significant challenges in achieving emission targets while maintaining grid resilience.
Matt says: “With the rise of smart grids, decentralised power generation and pressing 2050 net zero targets, we’re confronted with challenges that demand new solutions. NTT DATA is ready to lead this change.”
Matt’s extensive background includes serving as Chief Digital Officer at Enzen Global Limited and holding positions at major consulting firms like Deloitte, PwC, Capgemini and IBM. He has worked with leading energy and utility providers, including Shell, UK Power Networks and Cadent Gas, among others.
In his new role, Johnson will lead the development and implementation of NTT DATA's solution portfolio for the energy and utilities sector. His focus will be on addressing key industry challenges, such as integrating renewable energy sources, advanced demand forecasting, infrastructure modernisation and cybersecurity.
