New nuclear power plant in E China starts debugging run

The Shidao Bay Nuclear Power Plant in east China's Shandong Province officially started a debugging run on Monday. The construction of the project in the coastal city of Rongcheng started in December 2012. The reactor can shut down safely in case of emergency without causing a reactor core meltdown or massive leakage of radioactive material.
