Job From: Vice President and Subsector Lead for Global Offshore Wind at Worley
Job To: Head of Offshore Wind UK&I at WSP
Chris’ appointment as WSP’s Head of Offshore Wind for the UK and Ireland reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting the UK’s net zero ambitions while driving growth in the offshore wind sector.
He brings almost 30 years of experience across offshore wind, hydrocarbons, mining and port development to the role.
Mark Hurley, Executive Managing Director for Water, Energy, Earth and Environment says of Chris’ appointment: “With the UK government’s commitment to quadruple offshore wind by 2030, we see huge potential for WSP to support new and existing clients on this key element of the UK’s transition to net zero.
“Chris is expertly positioned to lead our approach in this space and support the delivery of a significant element of our growth plans for our Energy business.”
Speaking of his decision to step away from Worley, Chris says: “I’ve managed to extend my professional network even wider, met some incredibly talented people and gained valuable insights into the energy transition including and beyond offshore wind. I’m proud of the portfolio Worley has achieved in offshore wind, a real credit to the hard work done by so many talented people.”
His focus on offshore wind continues at WSP — something the company values.
It says: “Chris joins us at a pivotal time as the UK aims to quadruple its offshore wind capacity by 2030. We’re proud to have him leading our efforts in this vital step toward a sustainable future.”
