Celebal Technologies: Helping Organisations to Breakdown Data and Deliver Tangible ROI
Anupam Gupta, Co-Founder of Celebal Technologies, shares how the company has developed production-ready frameworks for the manufacturing industry

AI adoption can be challenging in the manufacturing industry, with many companies reporting difficulties in integrating new tech with legacy machinery and processes.

Around one fifth of organisations achieve meaningful value from AI, and only 7% find agentic AI is helping them deliver value, according to a report from Boston Consulting Group.

With a unified data intelligent platform, Databricks is helping many organisations break down antiquated approaches to data to better integrate new technologies – and as an Elite Databricks Service Partner, Celebal Technologies is helping companies unify this data and deliver tangible ROI.

“Some of my manufacturing customers have as many as 44 ERP instances, with around 33 unique software tools,” says Anupam Gupta, Co-Founder of Celebal Technologies.

“You need one common cloud agnostic platform like DataBricks, that can talk to all of these systems – sometimes natively, sometimes through an agent-to-agent framework – to deploy these solutions.”

Production-ready Frameworks to Help Organisations Deploy AI Agents Faster

Scaling Databricks solutions

When it comes to implementing modern systems in operational workflows, “manufacturing is probably the most antiquated industry,” says Anupam.

“If you look at e-commerce and retail and financial services, a lot of dematerialisation of data has already happened. They're fairly digital, they're fairly modern. So embedding AI and autonomous AI on those systems is relatively simple.

“When you talk about manufacturing and legacy industries like energy and oil and gas, a lot of this information is locked into legacy ERPs.”

To improve access to this information, Celebal Technologies works with the Databricks platform to consolidate the information and build autonomous AI use cases.

The company has developed ‘Brickbuilder’ accelerators – production-ready frameworks that can help organisations deploy AI agents faster.

These AI agents, says Anupam, have the ability to “take corrective action and provide reasoning,” allowing organisations to be more proactive in their manufacturing operations.

One such tool is designed to utilise AI and Databricks capabilities to help production teams better identify issues surrounding production issues and defects through causality analysis.

“If you have a production issue, you often need to traverse through structured and unstructured data,” says Anupam.

“We have a platform that sits on top of Databricks and provides users with causality analysis. If a delivery was delayed, it can look at inventory challenges, transportation challenges and outside factors like weather patterns.”

Databricks and Celebal - Working to Drive Smarter Manufacturing Using AI

Databricks and Celebal Technologies’ ‘culture of innovation’

Databricks’ strategic partnership with Celebal Technologies is helping businesses improve their understanding of manufacturing assets across systems through the integration of data points and the deployment of AI agents.

The success of this partnership, Anupam says, hinges on both companies’ “culture of innovation and delivery excellence.”

He continues: “Where we can add value is leveraging their platform and framework to build our own industry solutions.

“We have the ability to build on DataBricks’ native capabilities and deploy them, by working closely with their platform and innovation teams. We are also the early adopters of some of their platform features.

“The collaboration is very close, both at the adoption level and at the level of building out these creative solutions.”
