Job To JERA Nex – Chief Investment Officer
JERA Nex, the renewable energy developer launched by JERA — Japan's largest power generation company — has appointed Zlati Christov as its new Chief Investment Officer.
Zlati brings more than two decades of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, M&A and private equity to his new role at JERA Nex.
At Morgan Stanley, Zlati was responsible for renewable energy and energy transition investment banking client coverage in EMEA. He will bring this experience with him to JERA Nex, where his responsibilities will include developing the CIO function, overseeing investment strategy and guiding decision-making processes.
His appointment comes at a crucial time for JERA Nex, as the company aims to scale rapidly and advance the energy transition.
CEO Nathalie Oosterlinck says: “Since our launch in April, we have achieved several milestones including most recently the acquisition of two solar farms in the US from Lightsourcebp.
“Zlati joins us at the perfect time to continue this momentum and we look forward to his playing a key role in our growth.”
Zlati adds: “I’m excited to join the JERA Nex team and be a part of delivering its vision of scaling renewables and driving forward the energy transition globally.
“Over my career, I have worked closely with businesses across the broader utility, energy infrastructure and renewable energy sectors, including both JERA and Parkwind, and I look forward to leveraging my experience to help drive JERA Nex’s growth.”
