HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, a South Korean industrial giant, specialises in a diverse range of heavy industries from shipbuilding where the company constructs container ships and crude oil tankers, to offshore and energy services designing oil and gas platforms, and naval and special ships providing maritime security solutions.
HD Hyundai’s proven manufacturing expertise and robust supply chain capabilities are key to the collaborative efforts with TerraPower.

This partnership marks a continuation of cooperation that began in 2024 when HD Hyundai was selected to develop the reactor vessel for TerraPower’s first Natrium plant in Wyoming.
The integration of HD Hyundai’s high-precision manufacturing and large-scale production capabilities with TerraPower's advanced nuclear technology is aimed at facilitating the swift commercial deployment of Natrium plants across the globe.
