Schneider Electric: The Global Energy Technology Partner

Schneider Electric has outlined its future strategy, leveraging technology and artificial intelligence to navigate the evolving energy sector and generate new value for its customer base.
Its CEO, Olivier Blum, unveiled a new approach that centres on amplifying its impact through technological leadership and data-driven insights powered by AI.
As the convergence of AI and energy presents new possibilities for both daily life and business operations, Schneider Electric is positioning its technology solutions to help create a more intelligent energy future.
A pathway to digital energy management
At its Capital Market Day 2025 event, themed Advancing Energy Tech, Schneider Electric presented its strategic roadmap for addressing the future of the energy landscape.
The core of its operational focus is on the electrification of energy usage, with an accelerated transition facilitated by automation, digitisation and AI.
In a keynote address on Advancing Energy Tech, Schneider Electric’s CEO Olivier Blum detailed Schneider Electric's position to advance energy technology and enhance shareholder value.
Olivier Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric, says: “We are the Energy Technology Partner for our customers across industries, businesses and homes, improving efficiency and sustainability for all.
"We are taking Schneider to the next level of energy and industrial intelligence, the next level of recognition and the next level of cost competitiveness and scalability to capture the opportunities in electrification, automation and digitalisation now and in the future.
"I am confident this differentiated vision is set to deliver strong financial results and enhanced shareholder value over the next five years.”
Schneider Electric is positioning itself as a partner in energy technology, with a focus on assisting industries and businesses with electrification, digitisation and automation.
This involves integrating efficiency and sustainability measures into buildings, data centres and infrastructure.
Schneider Electric's plan includes providing software and services that enable collaboration and offer actionable insights to foster value.
It also offers computing capabilities to simulate and automate systems, aiming for flexible, efficient and resilient operational performance.
Central to Schneider Electric’s path forward is a concept referred to as the data cube which underpins its data ecosystem and delivers on its Energy and Industrial Intelligence strategy.
The company says systems can be pre-trained using its extensive installed base of assets and access to energy and process data.
This data is then enriched with internal expertise to organise, interpret and add context.
The role of physical and artificial intelligence
The systems are subsequently post-trained, leveraging Schneider Electric’s specialisation across various domains and lifecycles.
This process adapts and optimises data at scale within its edge and cloud applications for continuous improvement.
This results in Schneider Electric’s first foundational model, which uses the data cube to provide physical intelligence.
The intelligence combines the digital twin with asset and domain experience to address real-world customer challenges and is further enhanced by agentic workflows built on top of the model's intelligence layer.
During his keynote, Olivier also describes how Schneider Electric could deliver operational excellence to its customers.
This strategy involves improving cost competitiveness through supplier collaboration and encouraging partnerships for co-innovation and procurement negotiations.
Schneider Electric also assists customers in operating at scale with AI, employing AI agents and co-pilots to help simplify business processes.
These systems can support performance management and help ensure safety, quality and compliance.
Accelerating growth from digital services
Schneider Electric's strategic direction includes plans to accelerate revenue growth from its digital, software and service offerings, which in turn helps deliver its energy solutions.
Olivier said on LinkedIn: “This is a very important moment for Schneider Electric and our entire ecosystem of customers and partners.
"I am extremely excited by what we can bring to the world at a critical time where AI and energy will transform our lives and businesses.
"Together we are Advancing Energy Tech to deliver a smarter, more resilient future.”
