The automotive manufacturer cuts resource use, reaches zero landfill waste and accelerates electrification. ECL, a California-based start-up, won Net Zero Award, Project of the Year Award and Start-Up Award for its off-grid, zero-emissions data centres. These facilities, powered entirely by green hydrogen fuel cells, generate their own cooling water from fuel-cell byproducts. Built for deployment in remote or infrastructure-light areas, ECL’s modular solution represents a shift in how energy is generated and consumed in digital infrastructure.
