Renewable Energy Interconnectors

Our interconnectors have already saved 510,000 tonnes of CO2 in just four months but there’s more to come. We’re building six undersea high voltage electricity cables to exchange renewable energy with other countries in Europe. These cables will allow us to send excess energy abroad from wind farms supplying National Grid and receive hydropower when we need it.
